After competing construction-assembly works the Maintenance Department carries out starting-and-adjustment works aimed to the tuning and adjustment of the active equipment installed and verification of the communication system readiness. Starting-and-adjustment works allow revealing some mismatches before putting the communication object in service.
When fulfilling starting-and-adjustment works the serviceability of each station and line communication object and their compliance to the project are verified.
Starting-and-adjustment works are performed in two steps:
- At the first stage the equipment “local tests” are fulfilled that means the off-line equipment verification, including measurement of electrical and optical parameters;
- At the second stage the “network tests” are carried out. It means that equipment is connected to the network, configured and adjusted. The verification of the suggested service quality is the last phase of the “network tests”.
As a result of starting-and-adjustment works the communication object is certificated and ready to be transferred to the Customer.
